Of all things pure
Of all things pure, your eyes are my favorite. They show humans can be immaculate in parts and as a whole. Your beauty is one for history books like how we learnt about Cleopatra and Helen of Troy.
Of all things pure, your laughter reverberates through time. Because even when you’re not here, I hear the thundering wonder that is your voice. You light up places darkness has held captive since time immemorial.
Of all things pure, your lips feel like amen. A surrender to peace and an acceptance to be. To be your friend, confidant, and a little haven. For you, I want to know better, do better and be better. You remind me of the greatest love.
Your hands in mine are like constellations, understood by few but admired by all. In this life of sin, you’re my everything. In this season of rain, you remain my rainbow in the sky. Existence is littered with the mundane; you make living worthwhile.
Life is vast, and I understand a few things. But when I look into your eyes and hear you laugh, I swear none of my ignorance matters. It’s you and me at that moment, and life fades into nothingness because you’re my everything.
