My ugly handwriting

The thought of you consumes the very essence of my being. I think of you morning and noon. Every tick on the clock is followed by a thought of you in my arms. What have you done to me, fair lady? Your smile is an enchantment, it erodes my worries and brightens the darkest corners of my heart. What is this I’m feeling in my chest? My heart leaps for joy when my mind walks to you. Hey! Can I have this dance? Can I buy you a drink? Can I fold clothes for you? Can I tuck you to sleep? The children’s storybook; can I read it to our kids?

Did you hear that? It’s not a prisoner rattling his cage. It’s not a child trying to climb out of his crib. It’s my heart huffing and puffing trying to blow these walls down to be with you. You changed my life; I don’t know what you’re doing to me with your love. I whisper to myself, there is a one in a billion chance. But one in a billion chance is still a chance and I’ll take those odds. What have you done to me? Is it your smile? Is it your laugh? Is it your eyes? Oh, your beautiful eyes; they say a thousand things when your lips are mute. What have you done to me, fair lady?
